Appearing since 1991 Formerly published by the ICGP (International Conference Group on Portugal)
The PSR is a non-partisan academic and transnational forum for the study of countries, regions, communities, and institutions sharing, exploring, transforming, or developing a Portuguese, Brazilian, or other Luso-related heritage
Multi-lingual, peer reviewed, agenda-free research forum. Articles, review essays, and reviews in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.
The PSR is closely affiliated with the Lusopohone Studies Association (click on logo above, to link ), but operates under its own Editorial Board and under policies governed by the Baywolf Press imprint. The previous association between the PSR and Trent University (Peterborough, Ontario) ended on 05 June 2020. This information is included -- and also summarized on other PSR site pages -- simply as a bibliographic and library cataloguing aid, plus public locator datum. Continually updated resources / publications for the LSA pool are only available through the new LSA Web link (LSA membership).

Follow the PSR on Academia.edu. Or not. Your entirely free choice. Yes, authors are archiving their offprints on Academia.edu with our full permission. But we are not shilling for academia.edu or any such. We are NOT an Academia 'ambassador', and do not seek to be such. We get nothing from the above banner. Nothing. Not even 1/10 click dime. As always, we are skeptical until we see results, and even long after we see results. We are purely concerned with academic integrity, hard as it is to ensure these days. Yes, similar platforms promise and often deliver quick exposure. The PSR, however, does not pay for its academia.edu account, on purpose. We certainly do not wish to be tarred with claims about 'paying for bumping'. Thus, we do not pay. Done. End of 'conversation'.
The PSR and Google Books: Our 'preview' program on Google ended as of 13 February 2016; it was replaced by previews on our own site; our Google Books account has not been maintained for a long while, and will NOT be . We have no comment. We do NOT care what Google may define as 'reality', we do NOT care what Google may field as 'Info Interventions', and we do NOT care about GoogleJigsaw 'pre-bunking' and mind-'immunization' : Pavlovian brainwashing (or PSYOPS 101). We do our own research and draw our own conclusions, as always.
The PSR and Bills C-11 / C-18: If it should turn out in practice (as many fear, legitimately) that these Bills are a backdoor deisgned not to promote Canadian content but to enhance Government censorship, then we have NO intention to comply in ANY way (even the tiniest) with such Bills or with legal (Court) construals of the Bills, or with rulings by the CRTC. Yes, we support strictly autonomous high-quality critical thought & probing research. Yes, we support open debate and oppose all "authoritative" messaging that seeks to shut debate by fiat or force. If candid criticism and research are muzzled, oppression reigns. We align in this with the Office of the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression (SRFOE) / Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR): "demands to curb ... content must adhere to human rights regulatory frameworks and respect the fundamental purposes of freedom of expression.” Evenhandedly, without scoffing at 'freedom of expression', or obliquely undermining it and playing favourites.
